Night Infiltration

Day 33 08 July 02 Monday

So it is really 0100 on Tuesday because we just got back from night infiltration. The day started with me plowing into a gun full speed. See, we were running to chow formation when this guy about 4 inches in front of me turned around without me seeing and I took him out. He fell backwards and I stood there trying to catch him. I did catch his knee to my quadricept but its nothing. Then we went to Heard Park where we were introduced to high crawl, low crawl and rush. We went through 3 courses which tore up our arms and knees really and I mean really bad. Already my elbows are infected because of all the dirt that got down my sleeves. It was probably the logest day yet. We got there around 0700 and left around 1700 only to get bused to our final destination, night infiltration. It was the coolest. We had to high/low crawl over downed trees, under barbed wire and live ammo with tracers and flares going overhead. It was such a rush to have live rounds and flares being launched at us. Flares, haha, that reminds me of someone. So anyways we had to crawl and roll over 50m through all that stuff. It really hurt but it was so much fun. Well its 0200 and wake up is 0530 so I got to go.
