Food! Food! Food!

Day 45 20 July 02 Saturday

What an awesome day! First was qualifications with grenades. There was this course wew ent on which traveled through the woods. There were 7 stations each wit ha different position to throw from and different senarios. I knocked out 6 of 6 and the 7th station was a knowledge test on the different types of grenades. I got all go's so I qualified expert! I am so excited! Oh, this afternoon, the D.S. had pizza (as they do frequently) and there was one left. So they began asking questions about different things related to the Army. Well, people got some answers right and were given 5 seconds to run into the room with the pizza and get it. None made it. That is, none til Rose. He got the answer right about how many trucks are on post (one, at the top of the flag pole), what was in it and used for (a match, razor & bullet. Razor to cut the flag up, match to burn flag, bullet to take your life). There is a gun buried under the flag pole. You only use these when the base is overrun and you are the last man standing.

Moving along. Tonight I got to go to the concert. I got to go because I got a perfect score on the SST I. Granted it was a bunch of no-namers, it was fun. There was candy, chips, ice cream, pizza, hot dogs and a hot chick! She was working the pizza stand. She also got up with another girl and did some line dance on stage to the music. Gorgeous girl I kid you not. It was weird though, this concert was outdoors and everyone there was in BDUs. Weird to see Army personnel jumpin to music. But it was fun and everyone had a great time.
