Puddle of Sweat

Day 61 06 August 02 Tuesday

This day started off on completely the wrong foot. PT was great but come chow formation, people were late so we did more push-ups. Today was pratice for SST II and our first task, first task, map reading we screw up big time and get smoked by our D.S. I mean SMOKED! He had us put our feet up on a 3.5ft table and do push ups with our LBE, Kevlar and pro-mask on. This room had two doors, no windows and no air conditioner. We did push-ups for 1/2 hour. It was so hot that I had sweat running down my face all meeting at my nose where it dripped into a puddle on the floor. Finally we got back and went to chow, shined our boots and went back upstairs. Only to be called to formation and got PT to death. It was the hardest PT yet. We did push-ups in so many different ways it was unbelieveable. I feel great right now but when I was doing it it hurt. My palms had the imprint of the concrete on them for a while. It was intense. But thats another day for the record books, a few to go.
